We can honestly say, selling our home in this competitive housing market was quite a challenge for us, and our realtor Robin Young due to our property unique situation. On the other hand, through Robin's diligence, honest advice, patience, and positive thinking, we overcame some hurdles and closed on the deal. Our recent decision to sell became easy because we knew Robin was just a phone call away. As she has extensive knowledge of the local real estate market, our home's value expectation aligned with hers. Needless to say, she has a network of contractors, professional decorators, and photographers/ videographers who helped prepare our home to make it even more desirable for buyers. My husband and I moved here in January 2019. Robin Young took us around to look at properties in Lathrop,Rippon,Patterson,Tracy and finally French Camp. We spent several days with Robin. She let us have plenty of time at each house because she knew how important it was to find just the right match. We found a few we liked but either the bedrooms were to small, didn't like the neighborhood, or my biggest problem the neighbors were too close. I would look out the bedroom window and be looking right in at the neighbor's bedroom. Robin knew I wanted some space and a big yard for our dog. We finally found our dream home in French Camp. We could not have done this without Robin. She helped us get the right price and did a fantastic job with closing. I'd very much like to recommend realtor Robin Young of Compass Realtors for the outstanding job she did in aggressively and knowledably pursuing the sale of my home in Manteca CA earlier this year. She stayed right on top of the situation as home prices were continually challenged in a down market. She helped me with my latest real estate business and found a wonderful tenant for a single-family resident house in Hayward Hills in April. We recently set our sights on a better school district in Castro Valley, and it's been a wild ride! My wife and I started by getting preapproved and attending open houses – we even binge-watched a lot of HGTV to get some inspiration! We thought that by attending open houses and having the listing agent or their team submit our offer, we'd have an edge. We had great credit and a solid 40% down payment, but despite our best efforts, we faced rejection after rejection – eight offers with five different agents, to be exact! That's when we realized we needed a pro in our corner. We did our research, interviewed a bunch of agents, and landed on Robin Young from Compass. Boom! Our first offer with her, and we got a counteroffer, followed by an accepted offer! Dear Potential Bay Area Buyers, After being in the housing market in 2022-2023, we had a Realtor who represented us on multiple failed offers. We are like most families that you will see out on hikes, at the farmers market and at our kids; school events. We are the typical family with decent jobs, good credit, and some savings. In 2022, were in the market to buy a modest house in a good school district. After 8 rejections, my wife and I gave up. It was explained to us by our then Realtor that the Bay Area housing market is “crazy”. I do agree with our then Realtor that the Bay Area housing market can be challenging, and to be honest there’s nothing that could be done with cash buyers with no contingencies offers, but after looking at some of our rejected offers, most often this was not the case. We weren’t being out bid by real estate investment corporations, overseas buyers or even multigenerational family, we were being rejected by other typical family who wanted the same thing as us… a modest house in a nice neighborhood. My wife and I decided to take a break from house hunting to find solutions to the challenges that we were facing. We attended open houses, talked to other agents and researched online. We called four different real estate agents including Robin Young from Robin Young Real Estate Group in Pleasanton, California. In the Spring of 2024, after speaking with a couple of different realtors, my wife and I decided to meet Robin to tour some houses. The first thing that caught our attention was that Robin was interviewing us as much as we were interviewing her. Robin was using her 33 years of real estate experience to strategize for us. The other takeaway that I got from our tour was that Robin knew just about everyone in the real estate industry. From other real estate agents, title company representatives, inspectors, contractors… Robin has built a well respected reputation as an experienced Bay Area real estate agent expert. We decided to work with Robin and submit an offer. We felt that the offer gave us a great chance at getting accepted or at least counter-offered. However, it was rejected and we thought… here we go again. Robin and we decided to ease into the second attempt of buying. After some time, Robin helped us find a house and got our Veteran’s Affairs (VA Loan) offer accepted. For anyone who attempted or have used a VA Loan, this is a huge challenge in itself that requires an experienced realtor and loan officer. She got it done. Robin’s experience really surfaced when numerous issues arouse during the escrow period. There were termites, roof replacement, code violations, plumbing/sewer problems. Robin negotiated for us and we honestly felt and believed that she had our best interest in mind. We also believed that she had the seller and seller’s agents best interest in mind too; which was important to us. Fast forward, we are in our modest home in a good school district and all thanks to Robin for being at the helm. After the transaction, Robin also was able to coordinate a meeting with us and the seller who introduced us to the neighbors. My advice to other potential buyers or sellers is to do your due diligence and research realtors and to really consider Robin. She will not disappoint.

Working with Robin is a breeze. She sold us our townhouse 20 years ago. When we were getting ready to sell the townhouse this year, there no one else to call, we knew we needed to call Robin. She had our back 20 years ago and she did again this year. We had a lot of moving parts going on when selling our townhouse and she helped so much along the way. We call her our lifesaver because we couldn't have handled everything else if we didn't have her handling the sale of the townhouse. We never had to question anything as we knew we were in good hands with Robin. The upgrades she suggested we do as well as the photos and video she took, and her expert marketing helped us get a great price. There are too many stories to tell about how fabulous Robin was during this entire 5 month experience of selling our townhome in Dublin and purchasing a new place in Livermore. But here are just a few: - She found us a rental unit to rent while we were in between houses, within the first two weeks of talking to her. And we have a cat, so this is no small feat! - We moved to provide space for our mother-in-law through an ADU out back. She researched Livermore permitting requirements for ADUs, and even wen to the permitting department one morning on our behalf to ask about a specific property. - When there was a two-week delay on the close of our townhome, she called each day to keep us updated on the progress. - When we found the perfect property, which had an ADU already built, she coordinated with our lenders to push as hard as they could for us to be the chosen buyers. - She had connections for any work that would possibly need to be done on a home during this process, and has continued to connect us with contractors after close to ensure that our home is everything that we want it to be. Needless to say, we will be using her from now on for our future real estate needs, and referring everyone we know to her for their needs. Robin is a fighter for her clients and honest and fair in her practices, and calls other parties to task when they aren't being honest and fair in their practices. If you work with Robin, you can rest assured that if a problem arises, she will always have a solution that meets your needs, or she will "know a guy" who does.

Robin is a super helpful real estate agent. She was very proactive in showing us properties in different cities in the east bay to help us decide where to purchase our new home. She was very patient with answering our questions and concerns, and was very quick to respond to our request to see properties we were interested in.
